THROWING OUT PHOTOSHOP for the day. (MS PAINT Speedpaint)

I threw out Photoshop for an hour or two and tried drawing in one of my older programs, MS Paint. I used to draw in MS Paint before I switched over to the GIMP(https://www.gimp.org/) and then later, Photoshop CS5.

I haven’t really tried any other programs at this time. So I can’t give my opinions on those. (People keep asking.)

  1. For me, back then, what I did with MS paint was painting the background black then using the spray paint and just spraying bright random neon colors and just thinking (for some reason) that it looked like a sky filled with stars xp. Love your video BTW.

  2. Even with other paint programs, MS Paint is still a fun app to use. I like to doodle some colorful designs, then Select a square out of the mess then copy, flip, and join them all into a mandala. The challenge, I think, is in the way the doodle is done; you know, colors, lines, shapes, etc. Selecting squares out of photos of tree branches also produces crazy mandala images.

  3. Nice job, BUT going warp speed doesn't do anything for me. What is he secret to improving free hand sketching/control? I have a pen mouse but it doesn't help.

  4. Your illustration turned whole lot better than what I've done when I used MS Paint but luckily I've been using ibis X Paint without a lot of problems for the past hour an half.

  5. Another way to change colors or get rid of sketch is (in your case) make sure color 1 is still purple and color 2 is white, then right click with the eraser and itll erase only the purple

  6. hghghsd thank you for reminding me of paint, I got a new computer and still haven't got my pen pressure to work so using Paint is actually a great solution until I can properly use Paint Tool SAI again
    It looks so good!!!

  7. I HAD THE SAME DISNEY PROGRAM! I remember u could choose music and it had elvis for some reason.. Oh gosh I remember so little and so much at the same time.. Do u remember the noise markers made? I remember every brush's sound haha there was one that Sounded a little bit like a fart and at the same time as a spray bottle spraying.. Another thing that it had was this "layer" that u could copy their disney drawings with… It never worked for me haha they were always terrible

  8. So back in High School, we had this class that you HAD to take (a rather pointless class but hey I can’t change it) well the school administration was finding all the unlocked game websites rather quick so after a while people gave up and stuck their phones. Well in my 9th grade year I did not have a phone. I had an iPod. One of those that was like the beginning of touch screen. Anyway so I had no way to be on the internet (none that I knew of at least) so I started messing around with MS Paint. Everyday after I would finish my work I would look up band logos (ah the days of black eyeliner and all black clothing. My style hasn’t changed much) and I would try and replicate the logos in Paint. So I drew, BVB, FFDP, etc. After a while I started to do like galaxies (real simple honestly) and eventually got up to trying to draw animals and scenery but never got much into it due to the school year ending and then not really having a free class the rest of my high school career. But it’s nice to think about ‘humble beginnings’ I guess.

  10. U should get urself manga studio/ clip studio paint. Photoshop isnt an actual drawing program, but an image editing program with drawing features. Clip studio is an amazing program with a lot of good features, and its not that different from photoshop so its easy to learn if u first know how to use photoshop. Ive had a lot of experience with both photoshop, paint tool sai and clip studio, and talking out of my own experience.

  11. MS paint does have some shortcuts though. like ctrl+z, (undo) ctrl+y, (redo) ctrl+c, (copy) ctrl+v, (paste) ctrl+a, (select all) and ctrl+x. (cut) it ALSO has this thing where if you hold control and press/hold +, it makes the brush size bigger and if you hold control and press/hold -, it makes it smaller (this works for all brushes, the pencil tool and the eraser. Also if you click the magnifying class and click it zooms in and if you right click it zooms out. There's LOTS more MS paint tricks but I'm just listing some shortcuts I know.
