Painting an Autumn Landscape in Photoshop (Speedpainting Process Start-To-Finish!)

Sharing my digital painting process for creating this Square Lens painting, “Fallen Leaves”.
One more painting to capture the beauty of autumn. I love all the colors the trees and the leaves turn into. It’s so lovely to see, and is definitely worth trying to capture it with a painting.

Anyway, in this video I’m showing how I start and finish this autumn landscape speedpaint entirely in Photoshop. Foliage, and especially in this case, hundreds of individual leaves is definitely a challege to paint. So, be sure to watch the whole timelapse video to see how this illustration came together, so that you don’t miss out on any of the steps and tricks that I used!

Remember to check out my Gumroad for the process pack for this painting, where I go in-depth of my painting process, and explain my thoughts behind my decisions. This painting and many others that are on my gumroad were created using a different method or a mix of various methods, so if you’re interested in seeing how some of your other favorite paintings came together, then definitely hit the link below and check out those panting process packages I’ve put together for you to enjoy.

  1. Wow, this place looks incredibly calm. Like, I feel it would be a nice place to sit down at dusk, do something that helps me relax, like drawing or journalling, while sipping on some nice warm hot chocolate. Yum!
Did you take inspiration from a real life place to draw this or did you just draw it from your imagination? Either way, good job! 👍
P.S: Also, I like how you include little bits and pieces of your thoughts into the video through those subtitles. It gives a kind of 'life' to your videos; not that your drawings are anything less… 😅 It's amazing! ❤️
