I've been dipping my toes into doing background/environmental art and.. wow. It's both easier and harder than it looks – the dedication it takes for one piece is something I have never given for a character piece. This is absolutely stunning! Hi at 4:04, after you paint in the overall gradient. What type of layer do you use to paint on top of it? Is it overlay or just normal? I'm having trouble matching objects color with overall painting color. Thank you
When you create the thumbnails or when you are adding in the objects on specific areas do you use references to base them off that or is it all in your head?

I love the trick for the cast shadows in the bikes and poles! Drawing over the original and then stretching them out to match the light direction. Awesome work!

How many layers did you use? Did you keep layers for the foreground, midground and back??

if it's ok to ask and if the software that you’re using is photoshop i would like to know how do you draw straight lines in different angles with texture for the Lineart cause I don’t have any idea if there’s a tool for that in photoshop
