Photoshop Speedpaint – Sci-fi Cityscape

Here again with your weekly speedpaint ๐Ÿ˜€
I really enjoy these sci-fi city paintings so decided to try some new stuff with the setting and background. This one turned out alright but I think I’ll probably shift back over to fantasy for a while, the city stuff is getting a little overwhelming haha.
Hope you enjoy the speedpaint, I upload once a week so subscribe if you’d like to see more ๐Ÿ˜€
Thanks for watching!

  1. Which brush did you use for your sketches? And you work with Photoshop, don't you? :3 By the way amazing art. Especially the foreground looks very realistic…

  2. This is really great! My only suggestion is to really focus on getting those hard edges in there; the atmospheric perspective is washing out the details in the back and middle ground and having sharper, hard edges there will really bring out what appears to be metal megaliths in the background. Even though they are in the distance, if they are metal or steel or titanium or some shiny material, the ambient light of the sun will reflect higher than displayed here thus far. You can create hard edges with both highlights and shadows. Something else Iโ€™d suggest is to add reflected light to show the depth of each object and to really push for the futura look by adding a reflected light on the adjacent side of the buildings. Iโ€™d suggest the muted cool tones of the water or some kind of pale magenta or violet. This will also add dimension to each monument.

Other than that, awesome control of the medium โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ
