Tools Used

I use Adobe Photoshop CC for painting and editing my illustrations. Many of my older speedpaints were done in a free digital program called Medibang Paint (which I highly recommend for beginner artists!). I switched to using Photoshop as my main art program in late 2018 to further improve my work. My tablet is the Wacom MobileStudio Pro 13, which I purchased in 2016. I record my screen using OBS and edit all my videos in Adobe Premiere Pro.

FAQ

How long did this take?
It varies! If it’s a five minute long video, then between 3 to 4 hours. If its between 7-10 minutes, it was probably a bigger piece which can take anywhere between 10-15 hours.

Where did you get your brushes?
Most of the brushes you see me use are with from the Kyle Brush packs (mainly the ‘Real Oils’ from the Megapack, available to all Photoshop CC users) or from Andreas Rocha’s brush pack (given out as a Patreon reward).

What canvas size do you draw on?
My canvas size is usually around 3000px on the short side and upwards of 5000px on the long side. With a resolution of around 300 – 350 dpi.

How do I commission you?
I open commissions around 3 times a year and accept in batches of 10-15. For all my prices and info, visit: https://www.clockbirds.com/commissions

  1. Your art is amazing.
Also I would like to see you do more tutorials(Your last one was 4 yrs ago) even if its a topic you think is already covered, seeing your take on it would still be interesting.

  2. I have a question. Would you be okay with me using your pictures to help me improve too? I wouldn't copy or steal the idea, I'd just use it as a example to how I want to draw. I'd basically use it as inspiration and reference. I wouldn't post what a draw online if you didn't want me to. I know some people who wouldn't want me doing this, so I thought it would be better to just ask. I don't wanna upset anyone.

Lets hope clockbirds see this lol. I don't think commenting on a 2 month old video is a good way to contact someone. I don't really know any better ways though, so oof. I kinda just found this channel and am obsessed with the art style. Its like my dream art style. The backgrounds are just amazing, and just gutcthdrhdutft. Its just *chefs kiss

  3. Hi there. I just want to tell you that I remember seeing your art on Neo way back and you've always inspired me in my own art journey. I was always sort of shy back in the day so I wouldn't talk, but I absolutely want to thank you for your tutorials and speed paints because it's definitely helped me through the years. You are a very talented artist!
